About Abundantly Blessed Childcare Center

A Warm, Supportive Place for Children to Learn and Grow

Abundantly Blessed Childcare Center is committed to creating a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for children.  Children develop socially, emotionally, and academically through age-appropriate activities and meaningful relationships. Our goal is to support each child’s early development through nurturing guidance, meaningful interactions, and age-appropriate learning experiences. We learn through play. 


We proudly use the Frogstreet curriculum, a research-based program that encourages exploration, language development, and school-readiness skills through structured routines and hands-on activities.

Our Approach

We believe that children thrive when they feel loved, encouraged, and supported. Our classrooms are designed to promote curiosity and confidence, helping children grow at their own pace while building important cognitive, social and emotional skills.

I Started Off With a Wing And a Prayer

My journey began in 2009 when, at just 30 years old, I stepped out on faith to launch Abundantly Blessed. The center officially opened in October 2010 on Court Street, operating out of a rented space with just five children enrolled. myself and three employees, I recall the humble beginnings with a smile, "I started off with a wing and a prayer.” 


From those early days, Abundantly Blessed steadily grew. Dedicated team members joined during the formative years, helping shape the strong foundation the center stands on today. The business relocated several times, moving from Court Street to Olinde Street, then to Pointe Coupee Road, and eventually establishing a permanent presence in the West End area. 


Along the way, I expanded my vision. I opened Abundantly Blessed Academy on Mary Drive and later returned to purchase the original Court Street property, which now operates as Abundantly Blessed Early Childhood Center. At its largest, the organization operated three facilities. Today, the ministry of care continues through its Court Street and West End locations, serving families across the parish. I reflect on the 17-year journey with gratitude and ambition, "a lot more is still in store." 


The greatest reward is watching the children we once cared for as infants grow into successful young adults. Seeing former students graduate and head off to college is, both humbling and surreal. 


At the heart of Abundantly Blessed is a mission that goes far beyond supervision. "We do not just come here to babysit children. "We are here to change the lives of children through love, cognitive, social and emotional development, and it is truly a ministry. Today, the center serves children from six weeks to 12 years old and employs 30 plus staff members across a wide range of roles, including Managers, Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Floaters, Cooks, Administrators, Directors, and Designees. With pride, "All of them." We are all a team. I would not be where I am without my team. I do not do this by myself.
